He claims these conflicts aim to destabilize the opposition party. Mohammed emphasizes the PDP's capability to resolve issues and deliver effective governance in Nigeria.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has raised serious allegations against the All Progressives Congress (APC), claiming that the internal conflicts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are a result of deliberate manipulation by the ruling party. During a meeting with members of the PDP Board of Trustees at the Government House in Bauchi on September 18, 2024, Mohammed emphasized the need for unity and strategic action to resolve the ongoing turmoil affecting the party.

The PDP has faced significant challenges in various states, with notable issues reported in Rivers, Kaduna, and Katsina, as well as at the national level. The tension has been exacerbated by former Kogi State lawmaker Dino Melaye's accusations against the party's acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, and other key figures within the PDP. Melaye has claimed that these leaders are undermining the party's stability, prompting calls for Damagum to step down from his position.

In light of these challenges, Mohammed asserted that the ongoing crisis is not insurmountable. He pointed out that the APC aims to keep the PDP in a state of disarray to hinder its effectiveness as an opposition party. “Any challenge is not insurmountable; it is insurmountable by the grace of God, and we will find a solution to that,” he stated, emphasizing the PDP’s experience in governance.

He continued, “You will notice that this is the creation of the other side. They want us to be in disarray; it is the creation of APC. They always want to have moles within us.” Mohammed's remarks suggest that the APC's strategy includes infiltrating the PDP to gain insights into its operations and undermine its cohesion.

Despite the tumult, the governor remains optimistic about the party's capacity to deliver effective governance in Nigeria, citing the talent and potential within the PDP. He expressed confidence that the ongoing crises would ultimately strengthen the party’s resolve and capacity to serve the Nigerian populace effectively.
