Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bayelsa has reported the safe release of its Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO), who was abducted on Friday.
The SPO fell victim to armed gunmen while en route to the Registration Area Centre – 06 (Ossioma) in Sagbama Local Government Area.
The Head of Voter Education and Publicity at the state INEC in Yenagoa, Mr Wilfred Ifogah, officially confirmed the news in a statement released on Saturday.
