Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has expanded his stake in FBN Holdings with an additional acquisition of shares worth N183 million, according to a corporate filing on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on Wednesday.
This move follows a series of recent purchases, including 1,228,141 shares at N20.30k and 7,965,198 shares at N19.90k, totaling N183.4 million through his company Calvados Global Services Limited. Otedola, who also chairs FBN Holdings, has significantly increased his holdings in June, with recent transactions totaling N36.2 billion.
Since assuming the chairmanship six months ago, he has surpassed Barbican Capital Limited to become the company's largest shareholder, now holding 4,187,602,704 shares directly and indirectly.
