Nigerian social media personality, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has sued fellow internet figure Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan, for ₦1 billion over defamation claims. The lawsuit alleges that VeryDarkMan used an AI-generated audio clip to spread false claims about Bobrisky's involvement in illicit relationships with politicians and law enforcement officials.

Bobrisky’s legal team announced the lawsuit on Instagram, accusing VeryDarkMan of exploiting his name for personal gain by making unsubstantiated accusations. The lawsuit demands that VeryDarkMan immediately retract the defamatory content, apologize publicly through video and newspaper outlets, and cease further defamatory statements.

Bobrisky’s lawyers emphasized the harm caused to his reputation, mental health, and public image, citing VeryDarkMan’s use of AI-generated content as an intentional act of defamation.
