Bobrisky denies allegations of paying the Falanas for a presidential pardon, claiming viral audio clips are fabricated. In response to demands from the Falanas for an apology, Bobrisky insists he never paid for a pardon and announces his lawyer will address the accusations publicly.
Crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has denied allegations that he paid for a presidential pardon during his prison term. In a statement shared on Instagram, Bobrisky responded to claims made in a viral audio clip published by VDM, which suggested that he had approached the Falanas—popular lawyer Femi Falana and his son, musician Falz—for assistance.
The recording allegedly included Bobrisky stating he had offered N10 million to secure a presidential pardon and had also sought additional funds for preferential treatment in prison. According to the audio, another payment of N5 million was allegedly made to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for a Federal Government pardon concerning charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky, however, insists he is not the person speaking in the audio and stated that his lawyer would soon issue a formal statement to address these accusations.
The Falanas have given him a 12-hour ultimatum to apologize, following the release of the audio clip last month.
