Bobrisky, a social media influencer, reveals her struggle with suicidal thoughts amid bribery allegations involving the EFCC. Following claims of a N15 million bribe to drop charges against her, she denies the accusations. The EFCC has launched an investigation, intensifying scrutiny on the crossdresser's controversial past.
In a heartfelt revelation, social media influencer Bobrisky, born Idris Okuneye, has opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts amid a bribery scandal involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bobrisky, who was released from prison on August 5 after serving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira, has been at the center of controversy following claims made by social critic Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan. He shared an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly confessed to paying N15 million to EFCC officials to dismiss charges against her.
Bobrisky quickly denounced the recording as “fake” and asserted that she did not bribe anyone. She also confirmed that she served her prison term as mandated. The situation intensified when the EFCC invited both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to address the allegations. EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has initiated an investigation into the claims.
Adding to the drama, rapper Falz revealed that Bobrisky had contacted him for financial assistance of N3 million to secure a VIP prison section, a request he refused. On September 26, Bobrisky took to Instagram to express the emotional toll the bribery allegations have taken on her, stating, “I have never thought about suicide in my life until now.” She emphasized that she does not seek sympathy but rather understanding, highlighting the harshness of human behavior and its impact on her mental health.
