Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju, known as Bobrisky, has shed light on why he did not grow any facial hair during his six-month imprisonment. In an interview with comedian Isbae U on the show “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” Bobrisky addressed the curiosity surrounding his appearance following his release on August 5, 2024.
Bobrisky had been sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to naira abuse on April 12, 2024. Upon his release, many expected him to emerge with a more rugged look, but he surprised fans by remaining beardless. Isbae U humorously remarked on this, referencing the expectation that Bobrisky would come out looking like "Gandalf" and jokingly asked how he managed to avoid growing a beard in prison.
In response, Bobrisky clarified that his beardless appearance was not a result of any prison arrangements. Instead, he revealed that he had undergone laser hair removal surgery before his incarceration. He stated, “I have done laser, so till I leave this earth, hair cannot grow on my face.”
This revelation puts to rest speculation about his appearance, emphasizing the permanence of his cosmetic procedure.
