Munachimso Brian Nwana, a 22-year-old Nigerian content creator and food consultant, has etched his name in history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the most fast-food restaurants visited within 24 hours. In a remarkable feat, Brian visited 150 eateries across Abuja, surpassing the previous record of 100 visits held by American YouTuber Airrack in New York City.

Unlike his predecessor, who had the advantage of New York’s clustered restaurants and efficient public transportation, Brian faced the challenge of covering a 25 km route on foot. He began his journey at Chicken Republic in Gwarinpa and concluded at Kilimanjaro in central Abuja. Despite taking a nine-hour rest between midnight and 9 a.m., he completed the challenge within the stipulated time.

To qualify, Brian had to purchase and consume at least one food or drink item at each location, ensuring that 75% of his order was food. He enjoyed a variety of dishes, including shawarma, pizza, and burgers, but he highlighted Nigerian staples like moin moin (bean pudding) and àmàlà as his favorites.

Brian emphasized that his motivation was not just to break a record but to showcase the diversity of Nigerian cuisine to a global audience. His effort also highlights the importance of reducing food waste, as any leftovers were shared with his team and passersby.

Brian’s achievement places him alongside other Nigerian record-breakers like Hilda Baci and Tunde Onakoya, further solidifying Nigeria's place on the global culinary map.
