Former President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that Nigeria saw significant improvements in security and the economy during his eight-year tenure. Speaking to members of the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel in Daura, Buhari reflected on inheriting a deteriorating economy and security challenges in 2015. He emphasized that his administration's strategies helped tackle terrorism and economic struggles, ultimately stabilizing the country.
Buhari, who highlighted the severe challenges his government faced, expressed pride in the advancements made, particularly in national security, which saw a reduction in terrorism and banditry. He acknowledged that while there were administrative hurdles, his leadership ensured progress, significantly improving conditions compared to when he first took office.
