Nigerian music stars Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems have earned nominations for the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, recognizing their achievements in music. Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido received nods for outstanding songs, while Tems’ track “Love Me Jeje” earned recognition in the Best International Song category.

Nigerian music heavyweights Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems have been recognized with nominations for the 2025 NAACP Image Awards. The announcement celebrates their continued impact on the global music scene.

The NAACP Image Awards, an annual event highlighting outstanding contributions by people of color across various industries, will hold its 56th edition on February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Center in California.

Burna Boy and Usher received a nod for their collaboration on “Coming Home,” earning a spot in the “Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary)” category. Davido, alongside Chris Brown, was nominated for the “Outstanding International Song” category with their track “Hmmm.”

Wizkid secured two nominations, including a spot in the “Best International Song” category for “Piece of My Heart,” a collaboration with Brent Faiyaz. Similarly, Tems gained recognition for her single “Love Me Jeje,” a standout track from her debut album, Born in the Wild.

The awards also spotlight broader achievements, with South African artist Tyla nominated as “Outstanding New Artist” and Ayo Edebiri receiving multiple nods in categories like acting and voiceover performances.
