Nigerian football stars Ademola Lookman and Stanley Nwabali have earned prestigious nominations for the 2024 CAF Awards, affirming their remarkable performances over the past year.

Lookman, regarded as the frontrunner for the African Player of the Year title, is one of five contenders shortlisted for the coveted award. His exceptional season, coupled with his consistent impact for club and country, has propelled him to the top of African football. Competing alongside Lookman are Simon Adingra (Côte d’Ivoire, Brighton & Hove Albion), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea, Borussia Dortmund), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco, Paris Saint-Germain), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns).
