Ahead of the mid-term and Eid-el Kabir breaks, the Lagos State Government is urging school administrators to prioritize pupil hygiene to combat the cholera outbreak.

Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, emphasized vigilance at a press briefing, highlighting 15 recent deaths due to delayed treatment. He stressed the importance of early intervention and urged residents to access free treatment at designated health centers.

Surveillance efforts are intensified, with environmental samples collected to monitor and prevent further spread, despite a recent decline in reported cases.
