Pastor Chris Oyakhilome vows to rebuild Christ Embassy's gutted auditorium after a fire at its Lagos headquarters. Describing it as an opportunity for improvement, he plans a 'bigger, better, and more glorious' structure. The cause remains under investigation as authorities manage the aftermath.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, addressed the recent fire that ravaged the main auditorium of the church's headquarters in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, during a sermon at their Asese campground in Ogun State. He characterized the incident as an opportunity to construct a larger and more magnificent structure.

During his sermon, Pastor Oyakhilome emphasized that nothing in the life of a believer happens by chance, recalling a similar incident during the 2001 Ikeja cantonment bombing where the building shook violently but remained intact. Reflecting on that experience, he expressed a determination to build a superior facility if the structure had collapsed then. Now facing another challenge with the fire, he reaffirmed his commitment to erecting a "bigger, better, and more glorious" auditorium, believing that this setback would only result in greater things for the church.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Director, Margret Adeseye, confirmed that the fire had been brought under control. She noted that the escalation was partly due to the church's initial attempts to manage the fire internally before seeking external assistance. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown pending a thorough investigation.

The fire incident at Christ Embassy's headquarters marks a pivotal moment for the church, prompting them to embark on a new phase of construction and renewal amidst the challenges posed by the blaze.
