Popular skit maker Mr. Macaroni has defended snubbing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stating the governor holds no significance to him. Responding to criticism from an X user, he expressed his disinterest and slammed loyalists defending the governor, reiterating his firm stance on political and social issues.
Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor Mr. Macaroni has publicly defended his decision to snub Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stating that the governor holds no significance to him. This came in response to criticism from a user on X (formerly Twitter), accusing the comedian of disrespecting the governor to gain public approval.
The user, identified as John, wrote, “To d’ifa fun a certain Macaroni who, in an attempt to please the mob, snubbed the governor of Lagos State. Omo ase.” Mr. Macaroni replied with a strong retort, declaring his continued disinterest in Governor Sanwo-Olu and dismissing the user’s remarks.
The comedian also likened the user to a “slave,” claiming that such critics often act as loyalists to their so-called masters. “I will continue to snub your governor. He means nothing to me, nor do you, your father, or your father’s father!” he wrote, further asserting that he would always respond fiercely to any attempts to revisit the issue.
