Other winners included Mikey Madison and Zoe Saldaña, with Anora and Dune Part 2 also recognized.
At the 2025 Bafta Film Awards, Conclave and The Brutalist emerged as major winners. Conclave, a Pope drama directed by Edward Berger, took home four awards, including Best Film and Best British Film. This marks the first time a film has won both since 1917 in 2019. It also secured Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing.
The Brutalist, directed by Brady Corbet, also triumphed with four awards. Adrien Brody won Best Actor for his portrayal of Hungarian architect and Holocaust survivor László Tóth, while Corbet bagged Best Director. The film also earned accolades for Best Original Score and Cinematography.
Other notable winners included Mikey Madison, who won Best Actress for Anora, and Zoe Saldaña, who claimed Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez. Anora also took home Best Casting. Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, and Dune Part 2 won Best Sound and Special Effects.
Despite its success, Anora's Best Actress win was a surprise, as many expected Demi Moore to take home the prize. Emilia Pérez, amidst controversy over its star Karla Sofía Gascón’s offensive posts, claimed Best International Film.
The ceremony saw no British winners in the four acting categories for the third consecutive year, highlighting a shift in the awards landscape.
The 2025 Bafta Film Awards were hosted by David Tennant, who kicked off the event with a lively performance.
