An Ogun State Magistrate Court in Abeokuta has granted controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, bail set at N2 million. The singer, who was declared wanted by authorities, turned himself in at the Criminal Investigations Department in Lagos before being transferred to the Ogun State Command in Eleweran.

Portable was arraigned on five charges, including conspiracy, assault, possession of dangerous weapons, and conduct likely to cause harm. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, appealed for bail, emphasizing his client’s remorse. The court approved bail with one surety and scheduled the next hearing for March 5.

Nine of Portable’s associates, accused of similar offenses, had previously been arraigned. They allegedly assaulted and obstructed three government officials during an enforcement operation at Odogwu Bar, owned by the singer. Authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
