A Zimbabwean woman, Rudo Takalumusi, accused her husband, Ernest Musawa, of using her clothes as toilet tissue and threatening to kill her. The Harare Civil Court granted her a protection order. Ernest denied the accusations, claiming Rudo was responsible for the mess.

In a shocking case at the Harare Civil Court, Rudo Takalumusi accused her husband, Ernest Musawa, of using her clothes as toilet tissue. Seeking a protection order, Rudo alleged that Ernest regularly used her clothes to clean himself after using the bathroom and urinated on them. She also claimed he threatened to kill her, saying, "He takes my clothes to wipe off his mess and threatens to kill me so that he ends up in jail."

Ernest denied these accusations, suggesting Rudo might be responsible for the mess, claiming she threw her clothes into a bucket where she urinated at night. "I have never used my wife’s clothes as tissues," he told the court.

Magistrate Meenal Narotam granted Rudo's request for a protection order and encouraged the couple to resolve their differences peacefully.
