Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, has appointed Monica Dongban-Mensem, the President of the Court of Appeal, as the new chairperson of the IBB International Golf and Country Club’s Board of Trustees. The announcement was made during an event at Wike’s official residence in Life Camp, Abuja, where Dongban-Mensem replaced I.B.M. Haruna.

Wike highlighted the importance of the new board in resolving the issues facing the golf club, noting the government’s commitment to reviving its former prestige. He also reiterated that the FCT Administration retains ownership of the golf course, despite the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. In her address, Dongban-Mensem expressed appreciation for the appointment and assured that the board would work together to meet the expectations placed on them, urging for unity and collaboration among the members.
