Cristiano Ronaldo stormed off without collecting his medal as Al Nassr lost 4-1 to Al Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final. Despite Ronaldo’s first-half goal, Al Hilal's second-half surge with goals from Milinković-Savić, Mitrović, and Malcom secured their victory. Al Nassr faces challenges ahead of the new league season.

Cristiano Ronaldo's disappointment was palpable as Al Nassr suffered a 4-1 defeat to Al Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final. The Portuguese forward, visibly upset by the loss, made a swift exit to the tunnel at full-time, bypassing the traditional presentation of medals. Ronaldo, who scored the opening goal just before halftime to bring his career tally to 897, had high hopes for the match. However, Al Nassr’s fortunes changed drastically in the second half.

After Ronaldo’s goal, Sergej Milinković-Savić equalized for Al Hilal in the 55th minute. Aleksandar Mitrović then scored twice in quick succession, and Brazilian winger Malcom added a fourth, completing a devastating 17-minute spell for Al Hilal. Ronaldo, frustrated by his team's collapse, was seen urging his teammates to wake up and refocus, but his efforts were in vain.

The defeat is a significant setback for Ronaldo and Al Nassr, who have been striving to claim the Saudi Pro League title, having finished as runners-up in the past two seasons. With the league season set to begin on August 22 against Al-Raed, Ronaldo will be eager to lead his team to success. As he approaches the final year of his contract, which ends in the summer of 2025, Ronaldo faces a crucial period to prove his worth and potentially extend his stay at the club.
