Afrobeats singer Davido lashed out at Osun State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, accusing him of disrespecting the rule of law. His social media rant follows Governor Ademola Adeleke’s claims that former Governor Oyetola is plotting to destabilize Osun. The situation has sparked heated online debates.

Afrobeats star Davido has openly criticized the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, in a fiery social media outburst. The singer accused the commissioner of disrespecting the rule of law, vowing to challenge his actions publicly.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Davido called the police chief a "disgrace" and pledged to expose him, stating, “You are not madder than us! Let’s all go mad!” He further threatened to escalate the situation, sharing a video reinforcing his stance.

The controversy stems from allegations made by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, who accused former Governor Gboyega Oyetola of plotting to create unrest in the state. Adeleke claimed that Oyetola, a relative of President Bola Tinubu, was working alongside security agencies to undermine his administration.

Governor Adeleke’s accusations named the Osun State Commissioner of Police, the Director of DSS, and the Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps as key players in the alleged scheme. He called on President Tinubu to intervene and prevent any political instability in the state.

Davido’s outburst quickly gained traction, sparking mixed reactions online. While some supporters praised him for defending his family, others urged him to maintain decorum. The Osun State Police Command has yet to respond to the allegations, but the situation continues to generate intense debate across social media platforms.
