In a social media spat between Nigerian music stars, Davido and Dammy Krane, the former responded to the latter's claims. Dammy Krane had earlier called out Davido over an alleged debt, urging him to settle it for the sake of his daughter's school fees.
Via his X account, Dammy Krane expressed his concern, saying that while he understands that rich people often find it difficult to pay debts, he hoped Davido would pay him to secure his daughter's future. He emphasized that in Nigeria, everyone is striving to secure their financial future.
In a swift response, Davido fired back on his X handle, pointing out that Dammy Krane owed him for three verses he provided for his songs 'In Case Of Incasity,' 'Gbetiti,' and 'Izzue.' He highlighted that he currently charges $150,000 per verse, which amounted to $450,000 for the three features.
Additionally, Davido claimed that Dammy Krane never paid him for producing the song 'Pooner.' He also mentioned that he provided housing and food for Dammy Krane when he was homeless in Atlanta years ago. The exchange further escalated, with both artists airing grievances from their shared history in the music industry
