Defence Minister Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd) has summoned all Service Chiefs to an emergency meeting in Abuja following recent deadly attacks on military bases in the North East. Those attending include Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass, and NIA representatives. The meeting comes after at least three Commanding Officers (Lieutenant-Colonels) were recently killed by terrorists in Borno, along with scores of soldiers. Hundreds of civilians abducted remain in captivity. Before the meeting went closed-door, the Defence Minister stated they would review strategies, adding: "We know we have recorded some casualties, but it is more on the side of terrorists."
