Nigerian singer and actress Mercy Isoyip, also known as Descushiel, has issued a heartfelt apology for forgetting the lyrics of the National Anthem during the Conference for Senior Police Officers in Imo State. A viral video captured the moment she stumbled on the anthem's lyrics during the conference, garnering national attention and sparking discussions.
Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday morning, Descushiel expressed her regrets, stating, "I sincerely apologize for the error I made during the recital of the National Anthem; I know such errors are inexcusable. My good people of our country, please accept my apology, as well as my assurance that I will be more careful in the future to prevent such incidents from recurring."
Her apology extended to both Nigerians and the Nigeria Police Force, and she concluded with, "God bless the Nigeria Police Force. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
