Senator Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the recently concluded Kogi State Governorship election, has declared his decision not to pursue legal action following his electoral defeat. Melaye, speaking at a media briefing in Abuja, pointedly attributed his choice to the perceived bias of the judiciary, alleging that it has become an extension of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He expressed concern over the judiciary's compromised status, stating that it has transformed from the "last hope" into the "lost hope" of the common man under the current administration. Melaye lamented the judiciary's apparent helplessness in the face of ruling party members openly asserting control over it during election campaigns
