The 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards celebrated excellence in various fields, honoring prominent figures in entertainment, politics, and public service. The event took place on Sunday at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

Music executive Don Jazzy received the Extraordinary Achievement Award, while veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Social media sensation Habeeb Hamzat, known as TikToker Peller, clinched the Influential Influencer Award, surpassing notable names like VeryDarkMan, Cute Abiola, Nasboi, and Brain Jotter.

In the film industry, Toyin Abraham and Chidi Mokeme were honored with the Trailblazer Award for their remarkable impact. Nigerian-American actress Folake Olowofoyeku received the Special Achievement Award.

Beyond entertainment, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, emerged as Man of the Year, while Dave Umahi was recognized as Minister of the Year. The Governor of the Year award was shared by Peter Mbah and Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A Posthumous Award was presented in honor of late national figures, including Dora Akunyili, Tam David-West, Alex Akinyele, and Ahmed Joda, for their contributions to Nigeria.
