Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of unwavering support from the state’s electorate in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) food outreach at Government House, Benin City, Okpebholo highlighted the administration's commitment to addressing the needs of vulnerable citizens.

The event, part of a social investment program launched in March 2024, has already reached seven states, including Edo, with plans to extend to Kwara, Kogi, and Abia. Okpebholo praised the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for spearheading the initiative and noted that the program has significantly impacted women and youth across Nigeria.

“We are witnessing a new dawn in Edo State. The generosity and vision of the President and First Lady have brought immense relief to our people,” Okpebholo said. He pledged 100 percent votes for Tinubu, emphasizing the state’s commitment to the administration’s renewed hope agenda.

Representing the First Lady, Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, urged beneficiaries to utilize the distributed food items effectively. She reaffirmed the initiative's focus on education, health, economic empowerment, and agriculture to improve livelihoods nationwide.

Edo First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Anani Okpebholo, commended the initiative for positively impacting millions of Nigerians. She also praised Governor Okpebholo’s support, which has enhanced the program's success in the state.
