Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman return to the Super Eagles as the team prepares for their final 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda. Coach Augustine Eguavoen brings back key players while making strategic adjustments to secure Nigeria’s place in AFCON, with Benin and Rwanda on the lineup.

The Super Eagles have unveiled their squad for the final qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Benin and Rwanda. Star strikers Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are set to lead Nigeria's lineup, with the team facing Benin in Abidjan on November 14, followed by a home match in Uyo against Rwanda on November 18. Osimhen returns after an injury sidelined him during last month’s qualifiers against Libya. Also making a comeback are Sadiq Umar of Real Sociedad and Gabriel Osho from French club Auxerre. Nasarawa United's Victor Collins is the only player called up from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Coach Augustine Eguavoen has largely retained his core squad for the matches, including notable players like Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Samuel Chukwueze. However, England-based players Taiwo Awoniyi and Benjamin Tanimu were left out of this selection. Nigeria currently leads Group D with 10 points, well ahead of Benin with six points and Rwanda with five, while Libya trails with just one point. The team aims to secure their qualification spot with a strong performance in these upcoming games.
