The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, earned a Doctorate following the successful defense of his PhD thesis, known as a Viva Voce. This achievement, despite ongoing legal disputes over the Kano Emirship throne, marks a significant academic milestone for the former Emir.

A Viva Voce, an essential part of the PhD journey, involves presenting and defending one's research in front of a panel of experts. Sanusi II's defense was met with approval, with the examiners endorsing his thesis without any need for amendments or corrections.

Kadaria Ahmed, the founder of RadioNow 95.3FM Lagos, shared the news on her Facebook page, expressing her pride and happiness. She noted that the examiners congratulated Sanusi II, now Dr. Sanusi, on his flawless defense.

Kadaria's post read, "Happy to report, our Khalifa, our King, HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II, is now also a Doctor having successfully done his Viva Voce. His PhD was approved as submitted without any amendments or corrections. The examiners said congratulations, Dr. Sanusi!"
