Falz’s sister, Folakemi Falana, has threatened legal action against social media personality Verydarkman following allegations against their family. The controversy began on September 24, 2024, when Verydarkman accused Falz and their father, Femi Falana, of helping Bobrisky evade money laundering charges. He further made defamatory statements, alleging bribery and corruption involving the family and even accused Falz of being in a relationship with Bobrisky.
Folakemi, an entertainment lawyer, took to Instagram on September 27 to refute the claims, expressing frustration at what she believes is a lack of critical thinking among those supporting the allegations. She emphasized her family’s long-standing commitment to justice and integrity, referencing their history of offering free legal support to Nigerians in need.
In her post, Folakemi criticized Verydarkman for his baseless accusations, stating that her family has maintained a reputation of honesty and service. She expressed disbelief that people could entertain such accusations and firmly stated that Verydarkman would face legal consequences.
Concluding her statement, Folakemi asserted that since Verydarkman refused to retract his comments within the given 24-hour period, they would meet in court to address the matter legally.
