Rudeboy reveals in an interview that his twin brother, Peter Okoye, had him arrested by the EFCC in December due to disapproval of his lifestyle. An investigation cleared Rudeboy of fraud.
Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, recently revealed that his twin brother, Peter Okoye, had him arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). During an interview with City105.5FM, Rudeboy disclosed that the arrest, which occurred in December, was triggered by Peter's disapproval of his lifestyle.
Rudeboy recounted facing potential imprisonment, bewildered by the charges. He explained that Peter’s petition led to the investigation, with his account statements scrutinized. Fortunately, no fraudulent activity was found, sparing him from serious consequences.
Paul further mentioned that about a month ago, a family meeting cleared him of all EFCC charges. Despite this, Peter refused to apologize. Rudeboy attributed their conflicts to differing lifestyles, stating that while he saves money as a businessman, Peter spends extravagantly.
The EFCC's investigation suggested that Peter had misappropriated funds from Rudeboy for personal purchases dating back to 2006/2007. This family feud has added another layer to the public drama surrounding the famous P-Square duo.
