Human rights lawyer Femi Falana and rapper Falz demand a public apology from Bobrisky for allegedly spreading false claims about their involvement in bribery. The Falanas issued a 12-hour ultimatum for Bobrisky to retract defamatory statements that have circulated online, warning of legal action if he fails to comply.

Prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, have given popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, a 12-hour deadline to publicly apologize and retract defamatory remarks. This demand was outlined in a letter dated October 14, 2024, and signed by Olorunfemi Akinyemi and Taiwo Olawanle from Falana and Falana’s Chambers.

The letter accuses Bobrisky of making false claims that link the Falanas to a bribery and pardon scheme. Bobrisky allegedly contacted Falz in May 2024, seeking N3,000,000 for a special cell arrangement at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. After Falz declined, Bobrisky reportedly stated in a video that Femi Falana had agreed to assist with a pardon and mentioned that a N10,000,000 bribe would be needed to secure the arrangement.

Additional allegations state that Bobrisky claimed he paid N5,000,000 upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria to expedite a federal pardon on charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Falanas' letter asserts that these statements are entirely false and have caused significant harm to their reputations. They are demanding that Bobrisky issue a retraction and public apology within 12 hours to avoid further legal consequences.

Bobrisky, known for his controversial public persona, now faces widespread speculation over whether he will comply with the ultimatum or proceed with a potential lawsuit.
