Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, expressed strong support for the president's commitment to the Nigerian people during the 2024 All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Assembly, held at Eko Hotel in Lagos on October 5. In his speech, Gbajabiamila emphasized that “the one thing we know about Mr. President is his love for the masses,” stating that Tinubu is acutely aware of the hardships faced by citizens.
He noted that the president is genuinely pained by the hunger and challenges experienced by many Nigerians, reinforcing the administration's commitment to addressing these issues. Gbajabiamila reassured attendees that they would continue to advise and collaborate with the president to ensure effective governance, stating, “Governance is about everybody.”
This statement comes amidst various concerns about economic hardships in Nigeria, prompting skepticism from some citizens regarding the government's effectiveness. Critics have pointed to rising food prices and the overall cost of living as indicators of the disconnect between the administration and the average Nigerian.
