Adebayo Adeseko, a Nigerian man, reportedly committed suicide after fatally attacking his girlfriend, Sarah Adesanya, in the Ojodu area of Lagos. The tragic incident was initially shared on social media through a now-deleted video showing the lifeless couple in a pool of blood.
A user, @lahyorbronze, confirmed the girlfriend's death, referring to her as a sister, and lamented that her worst fear had come true.
The user disclosed attempts to report previous instances of domestic abuse to authorities but claimed that interventions were not made without the victim filing a report herself.
The Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that it was reported to the Ojodu police division on Sunday. The police promptly went to the scene, evacuated the bodies, and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths.
