Abubakar Kana, the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, revealed this during his assumption of office ceremony. He emphasized that creating a national airline is a key priority aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” Kana also pledged to upgrade airports nationwide to meet international standards, highlighting the importance of private sector collaboration due to limited resources.
In his farewell speech, outgoing Permanent Secretary Dr. Emmanuel Meribole expressed gratitude for his tenure and encouraged ministry staff to support Kana. Other officials praised Meribole’s contributions and welcomed Kana’s leadership.
