Sampson Udo, a saxophonist known as King Sax, sexually assaulted 27-year-old Destiny Ameh at Elegushi Beach, Lagos. According to FIJ, after the attack, Destiny confided in her sister, Grace, who subsequently called out Udo on social media. Udo denied the accusations and threatened legal action, prompting Grace's arrest by the police. While detained, Udo demanded N15 million from Grace to drop the case.
After her release, Udo coerced Grace again, leading to a second rape attempt, which she documented with recordings. Grace managed to escape and reported the assault to the police, where an Uber driver witnessed the attack.
Following the evidence and witness statements, Udo was arrested by the police, and Grace was refunded her N450,000 bail. His lawyer and girlfriend have attempted an out-of-court settlement, but Udo remains in custody pending trial.
