Finidi, who briefly held the reins for just 40 days, stepped down amid strained relations with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following disappointing results against South Africa and Benin Republic.
His departure prompted the NFF to consider hiring a foreign Technical Adviser. Now, Rivers United is eyeing Finidi for their head coach role, seeking a turnaround after a lackluster season finale, which saw them exit the CAF Confederation Cup in the quarter-finals against USM Alger of Algeria.
