Mele Kyari, CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), shared a heartfelt reflection on his life and career as he marked his 60th birthday on January 8, 2025. Kyari expressed gratitude to Allah for the remarkable journey from his early years as an Almajiri (Tsangaya) pupil to heading Africa's largest energy company.

Kyari thanked former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu for allowing him to serve as the last Group Managing Director (GMD) of NNPC and as the inaugural CEO of NNPC Ltd. He acknowledged the challenges and triumphs in his life, attributing his achievements to the unwavering support from his family, friends, colleagues, teachers, and mentors.
