Covenant University has been named Nigeria's top university in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 Rankings. This prestigious ranking assesses universities based on teaching, research, and international outlook, with CU recognized for its outstanding performance alongside the University of Ibadan and other notable institutions.

In a significant achievement for Nigerian higher education, Covenant University (CU) has been recognized as the country's top university in the Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings 2024. This annual global assessment evaluates universities based on a comprehensive set of 18 indicators covering teaching quality, research environment, research quality, industry impact, and international outlook.

The 2024 rankings, which examined 1,907 institutions from 108 countries, involved an extensive analysis of over 134 million citations from 16.5 million research publications. They also gathered data from 2,673 institutions, compiling 411,789 data points, and surveyed 68,402 scholars worldwide.
