Victor Osimhen has joined the ranks of Nigerian football greats by leveling with Segun Odegbami in the country’s all-time top goal-scorer chart. The milestone came after Osimhen scored in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Benin Republic in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Thursday night in Abidjan.
Osimhen, starting the match with 22 international goals, secured his 23rd goal for the Super Eagles by heading in an equalizer in the 81st minute, ensuring Nigeria took a point from the encounter.
