Funke Akindele's latest film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, has made history by surpassing ₦1 billion in box office revenue within just 19 days of its release. This achievement makes it the fastest Nollywood film to reach the ₦1 billion mark. The movie has dominated the December box office, accounting for 40% of the total revenue, with over 202,000 tickets sold. Akindele took to social media to express her gratitude to her fans, thanking them for their overwhelming support.

This milestone further cements Akindele's reputation as one of Nollywood's top producers and directors, holding the record for the top four highest-grossing films in the industry. Her previous film, A Tribe Called Judah, also broke box office records earlier in 2024, becoming the first Nollywood film to gross ₦1 billion within 21 days.
