Speaking at the NEC meeting in Abuja, he highlighted ongoing reconciliation efforts and a grassroots-focused campaign strategy aimed at fostering inclusivity and boosting participation in party activities.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is taking significant steps to reconcile aggrieved members and strengthen internal unity, according to its national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. Speaking at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Ganduje emphasized the party’s ongoing reconciliation efforts, which he said were already yielding positive results.
He noted that the APC leadership had initiated high-level discussions among stakeholders to address lingering disputes and ensure a more cohesive political structure. According to Ganduje, the party remains committed to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that all members feel valued, regardless of past disagreements.
A key aspect of this strategy is a shift in how the party conducts campaign activities. Ganduje highlighted that instead of inaugurating national campaign councils in Abuja, the party now launches them directly in the affected states. This, he said, allows for greater participation from grassroots members and stakeholders, strengthening the party’s connection with its supporters at all levels.
“In fulfillment of our promise of taking the party to the grassroots, we have introduced a new people-centered approach to campaign administration,” Ganduje stated.
The APC’s latest NEC meeting is the first since August 2023, marking a crucial moment for the party to reassess its strategies and reinforce its position ahead of future elections. With internal reconciliation efforts underway, the party aims to present a united front and solidify its influence across Nigeria’s political landscape.
