While acknowledging hardship, Ganduje highlights emerging benefits and improved security under Tinubu’s leadership, projecting economic stability by next Christmas.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the country navigates through challenging economic reforms. Ganduje made this appeal during a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, to mark the Christmas celebration.
Ganduje acknowledged the hardships caused by Tinubu's policies, particularly the removal of the petrol subsidy and the unification of the exchange rate. These measures, implemented in 2023, have led to soaring inflation, straining household finances for millions of Nigerians.
However, the APC Chairman expressed optimism about the long-term benefits of these reforms. “The results of Tinubu’s reforms are already becoming evident,” he stated, adding that by next Christmas, the economy is expected to stabilize, easing the burden on citizens.
Ganduje also praised the administration’s efforts to improve national security. He noted significant progress in combating banditry and kidnapping, emphasizing that these achievements reflect the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
The statement concluded with a call for unity and support, urging Nigerians to trust the administration's vision for a more prosperous future despite current challenges.
