The National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended three individuals allegedly behind the notorious microblogging platform, Gistlover.
The suspects, identified as Adebukola Kolapo, Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu, and Isaac Akpokighe, were taken into custody for their involvement in a case of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and threats to life.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police spokesperson, highlighted the syndicate's responsibility for running the controversial blog, known for cyberstalking, incitement, and blackmail.
The suspects will face charges as the investigation concludes, reinforcing the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to combatting cyber threats and ensuring citizens' safety in both physical and digital spaces
