Diri, a People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, accused Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of a history of violence in elections. Diri called for free and fair elections, urging INEC to address PDP's concerns.
He emphasized that Bayelsans deserve a leader without a violent electoral record, citing threats and past incidents involving Sylva and his deputy. The PDP has formally communicated these concerns to INEC for prompt action
