Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno has appointed his daughter, Mrs. Helen Eno Obereki, as the state's First Lady following his wife’s death. Helen will continue her mother's social initiatives. Governor Eno introduced her to Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, who pledged support for the new role.

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has appointed his daughter, Mrs. Helen Eno Obereki, to serve as the state's First Lady after the passing of his wife. Eno emphasized the importance of the First Lady's role, citing its many responsibilities.

During a broadcast, the governor announced his daughter's appointment, highlighting her role in continuing the legacy of social empowerment initiated by her late mother under the "Golden Initiative For All" (GIFA) project.
