Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, shared a unique and spiritual experience during a post-swearing-in thanksgiving service on Wednesday night. The governor recounted finding a dead bat on his bed shortly before he was declared the winner of the September 21 governorship election.

According to Okpebholo, while he was praying and trusting God, his detractors were busy spreading negativity through various media platforms. Despite the attacks, he believed the divine intervention of God led him to victory.

Okpebholo spoke passionately about his reliance on faith, recounting how he heard God's voice amidst the chaos. He described the strange moment when, on Sunday morning after the election, he discovered the bat on his bed, a symbol of his spiritual triumph. “I didn’t shoot any arrow,” he said, referring to the battle against the forces of negativity. “But the spirit of God was there. The arrow of God, the hand of God, delivered me.” He thanked the people who believed in him and urged them to trust in God for deliverance.
