Conducting his marathon in the bustling heart of Times Square, New York City, Onakoya has not only demonstrated his exceptional chess prowess but has also raised an impressive sum of over $40,000 (equivalent to approximately 46,762,625 Nigerian Naira) for charitable causes.
With his ongoing marathon at 38.02 hours and counting, Onakoya remains resolute, having completed his 100th game, 87 of which were against Martinez himself, with the remainder against other challengers.
