During the exchange, one suspect was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at the General Hospital in Ughelli. The police recovered a Beretta pistol with four live rounds, a pump-action shotgun with nine cartridges, and a locally made revolver pump-action gun from the scene. The police are currently pursuing the remaining gang members, who fled into the bush with injuries.
