Nigerian gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, in a gruesome incident near Abuja. Salome Adaidu, allegedly murdered by gospel singer and motivational speaker Timileyin Ajayi, was buried on Monday in an emotional ceremony. Ajayi was arrested in Nasarawa after being caught with Adaidu's severed head in a polythene bag, following an intelligence tip-off.
The gruesome incident occurred in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Authorities found Adaidu's remains in an uncompleted building, while Ajayi admitted during interrogation that the rest of her body was at his residence. Ajayi claimed a heated argument had escalated into a fatal altercation, alleging Adaidu had attempted to stab him.
The 2020 gospel album artist, known for his TikTok motivational content, has sparked outrage across social media. A viral video capturing the burial of Adaidu’s remains showed mourners grieving deeply as her life was tragically cut short.
