The Hisbah Police have confirmed the arrest of Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, for alleged adultery. Hisbah's Director General, Abba Sufi, stated that Sankara was apprehended with a married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu, in an uncompleted building belonging to him.

Sufi disclosed that the arrest stemmed from ongoing issues with Sankara, who has reportedly been linked to illicit drug operations disguised as hotels, involving prostitution and drug addiction. Following a complaint from the woman's husband, Nasir Bulama, who lives in Kano, Hisbah launched a surveillance operation that led to their capture.

On the night of the arrest, Hisbah operatives caught the couple after they entered the building. When approached, Sankara exited with his gateman, questioning the operatives while Nabegu remained in a vehicle. The Hisbah has announced plans to prosecute Sankara in a competent court, reflecting the agency's ongoing commitment to uphold moral standards within the community.
